Nasi Goreng is a flavorful rice and vegetable dish that you can make in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. The best time to cook Nasi Goreng is in the Summer or Autumn, because you can grow the ingredients needed for it all season long.

Where To Learn the Recipe

Cooking inspiration is something that happens automatically as you make dishes with different ingredients. Once you’ve cooked with an ingredient a certain number of times, you can unlock a new recipe that uses the same item!

To learn the recipe for Nasi Goreng, you need to cook with the following ingredients:

Ingredients Number of dishes you need to cook
Onigiri 8 dishes
Onion
Green Pepper

The quality of the ingredients you use can reduce the number of times you need to cook with that item. You can check the quality by looking at how many stars the ingredient has.

For each additional star that an ingredient has, the number of times you need to cook with it decreases by a factor of 1.

If a recipe states that you have to cook with Onions 10 times to unlock it, you can make any dish with 1-star Onions 10 times. But if you have 2-star Onions, you only need to cook with them 5 times. Likewise, 5-star Onions will unlock the recipe after only 2 uses.

Equipment Needed

The equipment needed to make Nasi Goreng can be bought from Jeff at the General Store.

The downside is that Jeff sells his kitchen equipment one by one, in 10-day intervals after you buy the first of Gotts’ house remodeling upgrades.

This means that you can only access the next piece of equipment 10 days after the previous one becomes available for purchase.

Ingredients Needed

To cook Nasi Goreng, you’ll need to make Ketchup first — which is somewhat difficult to obtain.

You’ll need to go to the last floor of the Spring Mine (Level 255), where you can find the recipe for Ketchup hidden in one of the stones.

Other than that, the remaining ingredients for Nasi Goreng are pretty straightforward – just save some Onions and Green Peppers from your Summer and Autumn harvests, and you’re all set!

How To Sell Nasi Goreng

Any dishes made in your kitchen can’t be shipped through Zack and the Shipping Bin. However, you can start selling food to Huang once you become friends with him at 4 friendship notes.

To sell a dish to Huang, stand in front of his counter while holding the item. Don’t interact directly with his sprite, as it will register as a gift instead.

Huang will then offer you a price, which you can actually reject for a chance at getting him to bid higher.

The price range for Nasi Goreng is anywhere between 380 G and 470 G. If Huang offers you 440 G for the item, for example, you can turn him down and try again to get a higher price.

Keep in mind that his bids will never go lower or higher than this defined range, so 470 G is the maximum price you can get for selling Nasi Goreng.
