The Pineapple Glitch is an exploit you can use to earn easy money on your farm. It lets you continuously bring crops over into the next season (even Winter!) without the crops withering or dying.
Note that this exploit can be done using any type of crop or seed that can be regrown. But Pineapples are the best since they’re generally the most profitable option in the game.
So we’ve created a step-by-step guide on how to do the Pineapple glitch in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town:
Step 1: Buy Pineapple Seeds
Huang sells Pineapple seeds in his store for 1,000 G each. You can buy Pineapples during any season, but they’ll only grow in the Summer.
If you want to fully utilize the entire field for planting, the farm has a total of 1,075 tillable plots.
To buy enough Pineapples to fill this entire field, you’ll need to save up about 120,000 G. This buys 120 seed bags, enough for 1,080 Pineapples.
It’s also a good idea to upgrade your watering can to the Mythic level before you attempt this glitch.
Alternatively, you could also work on befriending the Nature Sprites so you can hire them to water your crops!
Step 2: Plant and Water Your Pineapples in Summer
This part requires a lot of work because you’ll be taking care of the Pineapple seedlings for most of the summer season.
It’s important that you plant all the seeds within the first 10 days of Summer, otherwise they won’t be mature enough at the end of the season and the glitch won’t work properly.
Pineapple seeds take 20 days to completely mature.
After you’ve harvested the first set of Pineapples, they’ll regrow the fruit again in 5 days as long as you continue to water them every single day.
The problem is that there are only 30 days in a season, so you can only harvest the Pineapples twice!
If you don’t want all your hard work to go to waste, this glitch will extend the life of your crops and allow them to grow year-round.
So basically just plant your Pineapples, bring them to maturity, and then keep watering them daily until you get to Summer 30th.
Step 3: Drain Your Energy at the End of the Season
This is where the glitch actually comes into play.
On the last day of Summer, go inside your house and bring your stamina and fatigue levels down to 0.
You can do this by spamming your tools inside the house until your energy completely drains.
Using a Cursed Tool will speed up the process but isn’t necessarily required.
When the in-game clock hits 5:50 AM, go back outside and wait for the clock to strike 6:00 AM.
Automatically, your farmer will faint and wake up in the Clinic.
Doctor will order you to have a whole day of rest, and you’ll be returned to your farmhouse the next day in the next season.
And upon exiting your farmhouse again, you should have a fully intact field of crops that were unaffected by the change in seasons.
