Berry Forest in Pokémon FRLG (Location + All Items)

Standing with Lostelle in Berry Forest (Pokémon FireRed)

In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Berry Forest is on Three Island in the Sevii Islands. You can reach it immediately after defeating Blaine and traveling to One Island with Bill.

But before being able to actually enter Berry Forest, you will need to stop by the Joyful Game Corner on Two Island and receive the quest to rescue Lostelle.

Prerequisites

If you’ve already done the questline to rescue Lostelle and defeat / catch the Hypno, then you can simply sail to Three Island and head to Berry Forest.

Otherwise, you have a few things to do first:

  • Defeat Blaine on Cinnabar Island
  • Have the Tri-Pass to sail to the Sevii Islands
  • Received the quest to help out Lostelle from the Joyful Game Corner owner

Basically, if you’ve done the initial Sevii Islands questline, you’re good to go. Otherwise you’ll need to defeat Blaine and start that questline.

Reaching Three Island

If you’ve done the initial Sevii Islands questline for Bill (AKA you’ve defeated Blaine on Cinnabar Island), then you can just head to Vermilion City and take the Seagallop Ferries to Three Island with the Rainbow Pass or the Tri Pass.

If you can get to Three Island, go ahead and skip down to the “Reaching Berry Forest” section below!

If you haven’t done the questline yet, then you’ll need to defeat Blaine on Cinnabar Island for the Volcano Badge.

After you leave the gym with the badge you’ll be greeted by Bill, who will take you to One Island.

On One Island, Bill will ask you to deliver a Meteorite to the owner of the Joyful Game Corner.

So you’ll need to head to the docks at the bottom of One Island and sail to Two Island.

Berry Forest is on Three Island, but we can’t reach it quite yet.

The Joyful Game Corner is hard to miss on Two Island. Walk out of the docks and head east, it’s the building with the bright blue roof (it looks like the Celadon Game Corner.)

Head inside where a small cutscene will play.

After watching the cutscene, we’ll receive the quest to find Lostelle.

From here, we can finally sail to Three Island and head to the Berry Forest.

Reaching Berry Forest

Once you land on Three Island, walk north until you reach the plateau with the buildings, Pokémon Center, etc.

Then keep walking north past that area.

If you haven’t defeated them already, there will be a gang of bikers in your way and you’ll need to fend a few of them off before continuing.

Just keep walking north until you have to start walking left to follow the path along.

There will be a small sign next to a little set of stairs leading up a Hill. This is the beginning of Bond Bridge.

Walk west through Bond Bridge. The path is linear so you don’t really have to worry about getting lost.

Halfway through the Bond Bridge route you should see a wooden bridge over some water right before reaching Berry Forest.

If you just continue west from here then you’ll eventually reach trees with an opening in them and a sign out front.

This is Berry Forest!

Berry Forest Items

There are a ton of items hidden throughout Berry Forest (mostly hidden, of course).
