TM12 Taunt Location (Step-by-Step)
TM12 is found east of Eterna City, just before you reach the entrance to Mt. Coronet.
From the Eterna Pokémon Center, circle around to the north road, and then turn east.
Continue east, past the big statue in the northeast corner of town.

Taunt is one of those moves that’s all but useless in the main game, but it can be useful in PvP competitions if strategically employed.
One example would be using it to stop an opponent who relies on stacking moves like Swords Dance to increase their Attack stat to astronomical levels, in order to one-hit KO any Pokemon that is sent against it.
Miscellaneous facts about Taunt:
- If Taunt is used on a Pokémon that only knows status moves, or on a Pokémon that has just used a status move and is wearing a Choice item, the target Pokémon will run out of usable moves and be forced to resort to the damage-dealing move Struggle.
- Unlike most status moves, Taunt will bypass a Substitute to hit the Pokémon behind it.
- Taunt can be copied by Mirror Move.
- In Pokémon Contests, Taunt is worth zero appeal points. But Counter, Mirror Coat, and Detect will generate double the appeal points if used in the next turn.
