The Bell Hotel is a hotel owned and managed by Lin Fa and Xiao Pai. The hotel is an essential location in Rune Factory 4 because this is where you’ll find the bathhouse (among a few other things).

The bathhouse is where you can restore your HP and RP back to your maximum level.

While the hotel is open to visitors throughout the entire day and night, the bathhouse only operates from 10:00 – 22:00. Feel free to visit the hotel outside of these hours if you’re looking to purchase things from the Jewelry Shop or the Fish Market in the lobby.

Where is the Bell Hotel?

To find the Bell Hotel, you first need to take the western exit from Selphia: Town Square and head down a flight of stairs.

You’ll find yourself along the Selphia: Housing Area.

From here, head north through the path in between the Blacksmith’s and Forte’s house.

You’ll then find yourself at the entrance of the Bell Hotel’s red doors.

The hotel sits along the west end of Selphia: Airship Way, so just remember to make your way to that street the next time you’re itching for a bath.

In the lobby of the hotel you’ll find the receptionist’s desk where either Lin Fa or Xiao Pai will be waiting to receive guests.

If you’ve unlocked the Fish Market and the Jewelry Shop through the order symbol, you’ll find the merchants hanging out in the lobby as well.

How Do You Take a Bath in the bathhouse?

The bathhouse has two areas: a women’s bath and a men’s bath.

The red door leads to the women’s bath, while the green door leads to the men’s bath.

While the baths in Bell Hotel boast restorative properties, simply walking in and sitting in the water will not have any effect.

If you want to take a bath in the Bell Hotel’s bathhouse, you’ll need to speak to either Lin Fa or Xiao Pai in the lobby during their operating hours.

Pick the option “I want to use the bath.” and then you’ll head straight into the bathing area.

No time passes as you bathe, but your HP and RP will be fully restored after the session.

Lin Fa or Xiao Pai will let you in for free on your first five visits to the baths. After that, you’ll need to start paying for your baths. Your first bath of the day will be 300G and every succeeding bath costs more than the last.

Why You Shouldn’t Enter the Bathhouse Alone

Technically it’s fine to use the bathhouse alone just to restore HP/RP.

But every time you enter the bathhouse alone, you’re missing out on some great gifts.

If you take a bath while you’re in a party with townspeople, there’s a good chance they’ll treat you to a post-bath snack afterwards.

You get to keep the snack they give you too!

So feel free to consume it or sell it for additional income. This is actually one of the better ways to make some quick money in the early-to-mid game.

What Happens If You Enter the Wrong Bath?

You do have the option to enter both of the male & female bath areas, although there is a downside to entering the wrong bath.

You will be given a title corresponding to the number of times you’ve entered the wrong bath – initially starting with the Scatterbrain title.

And you might not want to keep racking up these numbers, because you lose princess/prince points every time you enter the wrong bath.
