Paul Vs Simons is a mid-game shenanigan you will encounter in Spiritfarer. Finishing it will reward you with a decent amount of glims as a prize.
Getting Started
To start, make your way towards Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64) and purchase the Rock Destroyer Boat Improvement (if your ship doesn’t have it equipped already).
For this upgrade, you will need:
- 10 Aluminum Ingots
- 8 Marbles
- 6 Fireglows
- 2 Spirit Flowers
- 1,700 Glims
If you’d like to speed up this part of the process then check out our Boat Improvement Guide for a more thorough step-by-step of where to get each of the listed items.
After getting the upgrade, it’s time to break through the rock barrier and make your way towards Edgeborough Lane (X: 192, Y: -105), located in the map’s lower right.
Once you’re on the island, head towards the far-right until you come across a group of orange spirits arguing about “the best song”.
Listen to the spirits arguing. Then one of them will then talk to you, asking for help to determine which song is the best.
“Paul Vs Simons” Walkthrough
The spirit that asks you to settle their dispute will then give you 800 Glims before asking you to visit Nordweiler (X: -3, Y: 185) to get the musical score for one of the songs.
Do note that getting to Nordweiler requires the Icebreaker Boat Improvement from Albert’s Shipyard, which needs:
- 10 Iron Ingots
- 12 Oak Planks
- 18 Linen Fabrics
- 1 Spirit Flower
- 5 Slates
- 800 Glims
If you already have the upgrade then you can head towards the snowy island immediately, located up north on the World Map.
Once you’re on the island, interact with the Raccoon Shop and purchase the Autumn’s End score for 1,000 Glims.
Note: If you wish, you can also purchase the sheet music even before starting this shenanigan sidequest.
Finally, head back to the group of spirits back in Edgeborough Lane and play the guitar for them (you can do this by holding the interact button).
The group will finally agree that Autumn’s End is the best song, and the shenanigan will end.
