As Spiritfarer, you are in charge of unlocking upgrades and boat improvements. These will not only make sailing easier, but they’re also tied to key parts of progressing the game’s story.
This guide will go over the process of upgrading your ship, as well as a full list of every boat improvement, plus the costs and perks of each improvement.
Upgrading Your Ship (Size Upgrades)
When it comes to making ship upgrades, the only place to do it is via Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64), who you meet early on in the game.
Upgrading is also quite easy.
Just collect the required materials for each upgrade, then open the upgrade menu at Albert’s Shipyard and purchase the improvement. The blueprint station and boat improvements require materials, while upgrading your ship’s size only needs Glims.
While upgrades can be done at any time for the most part, there are certain upgrades that can only be accessed after talking to specific spirits.
Let’s start by looking at size upgrades, since these only require Glims. And since these don’t need any materials, farming for Glim is the only thing to keep in mind.
All Ship Size Upgrades
Upgrading your ship’s size is essential, because over time you will need to build more facilities and guest houses as you progress with the story.
Here are the size upgrades:
