Babysitter for the Pet Shenanigan Guide (Spiritfarer)

“Babysitter for the Pet” is another quick shenanigan side-quest that you can find in the island of Overbrook.

Starting the Shenanigan

To start, make sure that your ship is already equipped with the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement. We’ve covered this upgrade in detail in our boat improvement guide, including where to get all the necessary materials.

This upgrade is available in Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64), and it requires:

• 8 Silver Ores
• 22 Silk Fabrics
• 8 Bottled Ectoplasms
• 6 Crystal Glass Sheets
• 3 Spirit Flowers
• 3,000 Glims

Once the upgrade is equipped, break through the fog in the map’s top-right section to visit Overbrook Island, found at (X: 212, Y: 56).

After getting on the island, head left towards the Overbrook Hospital and climb up the second floor.

Here you’ll find a short teal spirit that will say “Oh!” when you’re near him.

This is where you’ll start the sidequest.

“Babysitter for the Pet” Walkthrough

Talk to the spirit and he will tell you that he’s currently looking for a babysitter for his birds, as he left them after moving to Overbrook.

Aside from that, you will also need some cherries to feed them with.

With that, the spirit will send you to Edgeborough Lane (X: 192, Y: -105) to look for a bird caretaker named Lizard King.

Note: Before visiting Edgeborough Lane, you will need to have the Rock Destroyer Boat Improvement equipped.

Once you’re on the island, head right and jump up the roof of the second building to find a tall, orange spirit.

This is the Lizard King. He will immediately agree to look after the birds after you talk to him.

As for the cherries, you can buy seeds from the Hikarishima Lighthouse Raccoon Shop for 1200 Glims. These seeds can then be planted in the Orchard and watered until the trees grow and bear cherry fruit.

Once you have your cherry just head back to Overbrook and talk to the spirit again to end this shenanigan request.
