There’s no Gym Puzzle in Olivine City, but you do need to get the SecretPotion for Jasmine before she agrees to fight you.

Tips for Beating Jasmine

• Level Up Your Party to Around Level 34: Although Jasmine’s Magnemites are only Lv. 30, her Lv. 35 Steelix is a juggernaut. You’ll need all the power you can to take it out.
• Add Sandslash (or Other Ground-types) to Your Party: Ground-type Pokémon are excellent against Jasmine’s team because they’re resistant against Electric and Rock-type moves. You can catch a Sandshrew at Union Cave from 4 AM to 6 PM, which will evolve into Sandslash at Level 22.
• Teach Your Pokémon TM28 Dig: Dig is a powerful Ground-type move that can devastate all of Jasmine’s Pokémon, especially Magnemite. Ideally, you’d teach this to Sandslash, but other Pokémon like Quilava, Croconaw, Growlithe, and Geodude can also use it. You can get TM28 at the National Park.
• Expect a Hyper Potion: Jasmine will likely use a Hyper Potion to significantly heal her Steelix once you’ve shaved off most of its health. Don’t make any risky moves if she hasn’t done this yet.

This badge raises the Defense of Pokémon you control by 12.5%.
