You can find Absol’s Mega Stone (Absolite) on the western side of the Safari Zone. But you will need the Acro Bike to reach the Absolite, because you’ll have to cross a few thin white bridges to reach the Mega Stone’s exact location.
If you currently have a Mach Bike equipped, you can easily switch to the Acro Bike by visiting Rydel’s Cycles in Mauville City.
Absolite Location (Step-by-Step)
The Safari Zone is a Pokémon preserve where you can catch a variety of Pokémon. And in ORAS, you can enter the Safari Zone for free and stay as long as you like.
To reach the Absolite in the Safari Zone you’ll need these prerequisites:
- The sixth Gym Badge from Winona, the Gym Leader from Fortree City
- Must have explored Route 120
- Have the Acro Bike
- A Pokémon with HM01 Cut (Optional)
Inside the Safari Zone, you’ll need the Acro Bike to hop up stumps and cross the white broken bridges that will eventually lead to the Absolite.
Thankfully it’s free to switch bicycles, and you can switch bikes at any time.

Once you’re all set, head to Route 121’s west entrance to get started.
Step 1: From the Route 121 sign, start following the path heading east.

Step 2: Continue heading east past the two trainers.

Step 3: Enter the building on the right by using HM01 Cut. If you don’t have Cut, you can follow the path heading south to go around the cuttable tree instead.

Step 4: Once you’re inside the building, you’ll want to leave through the building’s exit on the back wall.

Step 5: Inside the Safari Zone, use your Acro Bike and immediately turn left.

Step 6: Continue heading west.

Step 7: At the end of the path, you should see a series of stumps leading up a small hill.

Step 8: Hold the B button for more than two seconds to start performing a bunny hop. Then you can use the D-Pad/Control Pad to climb up the stumps one at a time

Step 9: While still on your Acro Bike, cross the narrow bridge heading north.

Step 10: Cross to the left side of the bridge by performing a sideways hop twice. You can do this by simultaneously pressing/holding the B button and the left D-Pad/Control Pad.

Step 11: Keep moving forward, and then perform another sideways hop to cross the bridge to the right side.
This will lead you onto a small rocky platform where you’ll see a sparkling item on the ground. Pick it up to obtain the Absolite.

How Does the Absolite Work?

Mega Stones, like the Absolite, are held items that allow certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve, granting them a massive boost to their base stats.
Most Mega Evolutions also change the Pokémon’s ability, which lasts until the battle concludes.
When Absol Mega Evolves into Mega Absol, it changes its ability to Magic Bounce.
Magic Bounce is a handy ability that makes Mega Absol immune to most status moves that target it, and then it will reflect those moves to the original user.
This makes Mega Absol great against opponents who use annoying status moves like Spore, Will-O-Wisp, or even hazards like Stealth Rock.

Upon Mega Evolving, Mega Absol boosts its Attack, Special Attack, and Speed considerably
But despite having great offensive stats and a wide movepool, Mega Absol is too frail to be a dominant threat.
Mega Absol is way too easy to take down with its abysmally low HP and Defense stats. And this generally makes it not super useful compared to some other Mega Evolutions in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.
If it cannot take out a Pokémon in one hit, it risks getting knocked out immediately after.
Tip: Because of how frail Mega Absol is, Pokémon that outspeed it pose an extreme threat. Use Mega Absol’s Sucker Punch to try and take them out first.
