Pokémon ORAS Vitamins Guide: Where To Buy + How They Work

There are three different places where you can buy Vitamins in the game. You can buy them using Battle Points (BP) in the Battle Maison’s BP Shop, or you can buy them using Pokédollars either in the Lilycove Department Store, or at Slateport City’s outdoor market.

Vitamins, also known as nutritious drinks, are used to boost the stats of a Pokémon.

Each Vitamin will raise any particular stat by 10 EVs but won’t affect any stat that already has 100 or more EVs.

Note: PP Up and PP Max are also classified as Vitamins, but they can’t be bought in any shop. As the name suggests, each of these items increases a move’s base PP.

Tip: Using a Vitamin on your Pokémon will also increase its Friendship Value. This can be expensive, but a quick way to max out friendship.

Location #1: Slateport City Market Energy Guru

In Slateport City’s outdoor market, an NPC called the Energy Guru will sell Vitamins for 9,800 Pokédollars each.

Tip: On Mondays there is always a sale going on, making all the Vitamins they sell 50% cheaper.

The Energy Guru is located southwest of Slateport City’s Pokémon Center. You can follow the path marked on the map above.

Location #2: Battle Maison BP Shop

This method requires you to have access to the Battle Maison, located at the Battle Resort. It’s the island accessible after the player obtains the S.S. Ticket, which is obtained after completing the Delta Episode.

The Battle Maison is a battle facility like the Battle Tower in other generations.

Winning battles here grant BP or Battle Points, which you can exchange for various items at the Exchange Service Corner, located in the entrance hall.

Two attendants sell different types of rare items for BP. The right attendant sells held items used in battle, while the left attendant sells Vitamins, EV training items and evolution items.

Location #3: Lilycove Department Store

The Lilycove Department Store is a multi-level PokéMart located on the north side of Lilycove City, a coastal city east of Route 121. On the third floor, the clerk on the left will sell Vitamins for 9,800 Pokédollars each.

Unlike the Energy Guru in Slateport City, the Vitamins they sell here won’t ever be on sale. Unless money isn’t a problem, buying Vitamins from the Energy Guru on Mondays is always a better idea.

Tip: You can always change your system’s date to Monday to save some money whenever you decide to buy some Vitamins.

If you don’t know where the clerk that sells Vitamins is, start by heading to Lilycove City’s Pokémon Center:

Step 1: Before you climb up the stairs, be prepared to battle your Rival if it’s your first time in Lilycove City.

Step 2: Head northwest and enter the Lilycove Department Store.

Step 3: Using the elevator, go to the third floor of the Department Store.

Step 4: The clerk on the left should sell you Vitamins.
