Skull Bash Details + Uses

Skull Bash Move Details
Type Normal
Power 100
Accuracy 100%
PP 15 (max. 24)
Effect On the 1st turn, the user will “lower its head.” On the 2nd turn, the user will attack the opposing Pokémon.

With 100 power, Skull Bash is a very strong Normal-type attack.

However, be aware that two-turn attacks like Skull Bash give your opponent an opportunity to counter.

For instance:

While your Pokémon “has its head lowered,” your opponent could switch to a normal resistant Pokémon like a Rock or Ghost type.

Also, unlike two turn attacks like Fly or Dig, the 1st turn of Skull Bash doesn’t make you invulnerable to other moves.

A Pokémon with good attack and defense stats can make the most use out of Skull Bash. Their high attack stat will help ensure the move deals high damage, while their high defense stat will help ensure they can withstand a potential attack during the 1st turn of the Skull Bash.

That being said, using Skull Bash still leaves your Pokémon an easy target for attacks and status inflicting moves such as Thunder Wave or Sleep Powder. Use it with caution.
