TM36 Sludge Bomb can be found in the northern room of the Team Rocket Warehouse HQ. The warehouse building is located on Five Island in the Sevii Islands, and you’ll need to solve an arrow tile puzzle to reach the TM’s exact location.

But to reach Five Island you’ll need to use the Rainbow Pass at the Vermilion City port.

You’ll obtain the Rainbow Pass after defeating the Elite Four and showing Professor Oak your Pokédex with at least 60 Pokémon caught.

Sludge Bomb Move Details
Type Poison
Category Physical
Power 90
Accuracy 100
PP 10

Sludge Bomb is arguably the best Poison-type move in FireRed & LeafGreen.

Not only does the attack have perfect Accuracy, but it also dishes out damage with 90 base Power.

Sludge Bomb also has a 30% chance of poisoning its target, which is a great bonus.

Too bad there’s only one copy of this TM!

Only Grimer and Muk can learn Sludge Bomb via level-up in FireRed & LeafGreen. So grabbing TM36 can come in handy for sure.

Even though it’s a late-game TM it can still be useful while you work through the post-game content.

There are plenty of Poison types that are eligible to learn the move, but it’s best to teach Sludge Bomb to a Pokémon with a great Attack stat. This list is small in FR/LG, but some good options for this move include Nidoking, Victreebel, and Weezing.
