In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Water Path is just off the east coast of Six Island in the Sevii Islands. The Rainbow Pass is required to reach Six Island and the Water Path.
The Rainbow Pass is obtained after defeating the Elite Four and helping Celio find the Ruby.
Prerequisites
You can only get to Water Path by going to Six Island, which means you pretty much need to beat the game and get into the post-game.
Here’s everything you’ll need before you can get to Water Path:
- Defeat the Elite Four
- Catch 60 unique Pokémon
- Give Celio the Ruby on One Island
- Have the Rainbow Pass
After you have the Rainbow Pass, you’ll be able to reach Six Island and make your way to the Water Path without a problem.
Reaching Six Island
The very first thing you need to do to reach the Water Path is sail to Six Island via the Seagallop Ferry. This requires the Rainbow Pass, which you get after delivering the Ruby to Celio.

Once you have the Rainbow Pass, just head to any docks (the Vermilion City port or via one of the Sevii Islands) and sail to Six Island.

Getting To The Water Path
Once you’re on Six Island, head to the east side of the island.
There is a sign here and a body of water that branches out north. This is the Water Path!

If you head south from here, you’ll find yourself in Ruin Valley. If you head north, you’ll find yourself by Green Path.
But what can you find around the Water Path?
We’ll cover a list of all the items on Water Path in a small table below.
The Ultimate Horn (Heracross Lady)
There’s not much for us to do in Ruin Valley at the moment, but the Green Path does have a couple of neat things to do.
When you sail north on Water Path, you’ll land on a tiny island. There will be a house with a sign out front asking for the Ultimate Horn.

If you head inside, the owner will ask to see a Heracross.
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Heracross can only be found on this island, in Pattern Bush.

So if you want to bring her a Heracross, just head west on the island and you’ll find the Pattern Bush entrance!

If you catch a Heracross and bring it to the woman, she’ll reward you with a Nest Ball.

Tip: You can actually get as many Nest Balls from her as you want, as long as you keep breaking your record for the biggest Heracross you can catch!
