There are 5 contest scarves in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire:

  • Blue Scarf
  • Green Scarf
  • Pink Scarf
  • Red Scarf
  • Yellow Scarf

These scarves are held items that boost the condition of a Pokémon in Contests. To obtain each Scarf, just speak to the Chairman of the Pokémon Fan Club in Slateport City and show him a Pokémon with a specific contest condition with a value of 200+.

If one of the Contest conditions of your Pokémon is at 200 or more, the Chairman will give you a Scarf associated with that condition.

Note: These Scarves are only usable in Pokémon Contests and have no effect in combat.

Getting All Contest Scarves

You can find the Pokémon Fan Club in Slateport City. The Chairman who gives out the Scarves will be inside.

The Pokémon you want him to inspect should be in front of our party.

If your Pokémon has a Contest condition stat (Beautiful, Clever, Cute, Cool, or Tough) of 200 or more, he will give you a Scarf for that corresponding condition.

Note: The Chairman will only give you one Scarf of the same type.

Once you’re all set, here’s where to find the Chairman:

Fly to Slateport City. From the Pokémon Center, go west.

You’ll find the Pokémon Fan Club just across the street with a golden roof.

How To Raise Contest Conditions

To raise a Contest condition of a Pokémon, you need to feed it Pokéblocks that match its corresponding color.

For example:

To boost the Beauty stat, you need to give your Pokémon Blue Pokéblocks, Blue Pokéblocks+, or Rainbow Pokéblocks.

You can make Pokéblocks using the Pokéblock Kit by mixing 4 Berries based on their color (Blue, Green, Pink, Red, or Yellow).

You can also make Rainbow Pokéblocks or Pokéblocks+ of any color using certain combinations.

There’s no limit to the amount of Pokéblocks you can give your Pokémon at a time, so as long as you have Berries to make them, you can max out a condition pretty quickly.

Blue Scarf Beautiful
Green Scarf Clever
Pink Scarf Cute
Red Scarf Cool
Yellow Scarf Tough

In a Pokémon Contest Spectacular, you can pick a category you want to participate in.

If you choose to enter a Pokémon with a high condition that matches the Contest category and the Scarf it’s holding, you can increase your chances of winning by a large margin.
