How To Get TM69 Rock Polish in Pokémon ORAS

Using Rock Polish in battle in Pokémon Omega Ruby

You can find TM69 Rock Polish in the northwest corner of Jagged Pass. There are two ways to reach the TM’s exact location, each requiring you to use either the Mach or Acro bike.

If you’re using a Mach Bike, you’ll use it to ride up a muddy slope. For Acro Bike users, you’ll perform a bunny hop up stones to get the TM.

TM69 Rock Polish is a move that sharply boosts the user’s Speed stat. Using it once doubles the user’s Speed, giving it a great chance to outspeed many Pokémon. Mostly Rock-type Pokémon can learn this move.

You will need either bike (Mach or Acro) to reach the TM’s location. It’s easier to obtain with the Mach Bike, but you can use whichever bike you currently have.

In case you forgot, you can switch bikes at any time at Rydel’s Cycles on the east side of Mauville City.

TM69 Rock Polish is a Rock-type Status move that raises the user’s Speed by two stages.

Each stat can be raised and lowered up to six times. Here’s how much each stage modifies your Pokémon’s Speed stat:

Stage Main Stat
0 x1
1 x1.5
2 x2.0
3 x2.5
4 x3.0
5 x3.5
6 x4.0

As a speed-boosting move that’s almost exclusively learned by Rock-type Pokémon, Rock Polish can be pretty useful even in competitive battles.

Boosting your Speed with Rock Polish can make a lot of Rock-types more threatening, especially with Pokémon with great offensive stats.

Rock Polish gives notoriously slow Pokémon like Aggron and Tyranitar a chance to sweep your opponent’s team.

However, make sure your Pokémon is bulky enough to survive on the turn you’re setting up.
