You will get the three Coupons shortly after you deliver the Parcel to your Rival inside Jubilife City’s Trainers’ School. The next time you head up the street, the President of the Pokétch Company will approach you and task you with finding these three Coupons in exchange for a Pokétch.
Three Clowns located within Jubilife City carry all of the Coupons, which they’ll hand over to you if you can correctly answer their trivia questions.
Meeting the Pokétch Company President
The Pokétch Company President won’t show up in town until you deliver the Parcel to your Rival at the Trainers’ School in Jubilife City.
Professor Rowan’s assistant will lead you to the Trainers’ School shortly after you first enter the city limits, so just step inside the building and speak to your Rival to hand him the package.
Then leave the school and head north up the street. The President of the Pokétch Company will notice you and head your way.
The President will comment that you aren’t wearing one of his amazing Pokétches.
It just so happens that he’s running a promotion at the moment:
Find three special Coupons, and he will provide you with a Pokétch at no cost.
Finding the Three Coupons
The three Coupons are held by Clowns spread out across Jubilife City. Your goal is to find all three Clowns, answer their trivia questions in exchange for the Coupons, and then speak to the President again to receive your Pokétch.
The First Clown
The Clown holding the first Coupon is located between the Poké Mart and the Pokémon Center, just a few steps northeast from where the President is standing.
Speak to the Clown and he will ask this question:
“Does a Pokémon grow by defeating others and gaining Exp. Points?” Answer Yes.
The Clown will give you a quick lesson on leveling up your Pokémon before rewarding your correct answer with Coupon 1.
The Second Clown
The Second Clown is pacing in front of the Pokétch Company’s headquarters in the northwest corner of the city.
From the first Clown’s location, head northward up the street.
Turn left at the first intersection.
Then turn north in front of the building with two front doors.
This is the Pokétch Company headquarters, and the second Clown will be pacing around in front of it.
The question he’ll ask is:
“Just like Pokémon types, the moves of Pokémon also have types?” The answer is Yes.
The Clown will give a little speech about how move types affect different Pokémon types, and then he’ll give you Coupon 2.
The Third Clown
The third Clown is standing in front of the Jubilife TV station. You can find him by heading eastward down the street from the second Clown.
Then turn north to approach Jubilife TV, the building with the giant television screen on the front.
The third Clown will be blocking the front door.
Speak with him and he’ll ask:
“Can a Pokémon hold an item?” Answer Yes.
After giving you a little information on held items, he’ll hand you Coupon 3, completing your hunt.
Exchanging the Coupons for a Pokétch
Return to the Pokétch Company President and talk to him once you have all three Coupons, and he’ll reward your efforts with your very own Pokétch.
The Pokétch (short for “Pokémon Watch”) is an all-in-one wearable device similar to the PokéGear and PokéNav from past Generations.
Its functions include telling the time, finding hidden items, making pixel art, and over 20 other odds & ends.
By default it comes with only 4 apps. But you’ll find many more apps during your journeys across the Sinnoh region.
