Double-Edge Details + Uses

Double-Edge Move Details
Type Normal
Power 100
Accuracy 100%
PP 15 (max. 24)
Effect The user takes a ¼ of the damage inflicted to the opposing Pokémon as recoil damage.

At 100 base power, Double-Edge is one of the strongest Normal type moves in the game.

The move’s biggest downside is the recoil damage you’ll take from using it.

Specifically, the user takes a ¼ of the damage inflicted as recoil damage.

With this in mind, Snorlax is one of the best Pokémon to teach Double-Edge to.

It has a high attack stat, its Normal typing will give the move a same type attack bonus (STAB), and its high HP stat will help minimize the effects of the recoil damage.
