TM33 Reflect can be found in two locations:

  • There’s one copy inside the Power Plant on Route 10. It’s located in a spot near the bottom center of the Power Plant.
  • Or you can buy a copy of the TM33 from the Celadon City Dept. Store. Each copy will cost 1,000 Pokedollars.

So the earliest place where you can get TM33 is at any point after reaching Celadon City.

Reflect Details + Uses

Reflect Move Details
Type Psychic
Power
Accuracy
PP 20 (max. 32)
Effect Doubles user’s defense when the opposing Pokémon uses a psychical move.

Reflect raises the user’s defense, which the game refers to as the user “gaining armor.” It doubles the user’s defense when the opposing Pokémon uses a psychical move.

Unlike in later gens where Reflect wears off in a number of turns, Gen 1 Reflect remains active as long as the user is in battle.

Reflect will even reduce damage the user does to themselves via confusion.

This move is most useful when used by Pokémon with low defense and good speed.

Their speed will ensure they can use Reflect and raise their defense before taking damage from an opposing Pokémon.
