|Cinnabar Island. Given to you by a scientist NPC in the Pokémon Lab’s center room.
TM35 Metronome is given to you by a scientist NPC in the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island. The Pokémon lab is just west of the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center.
The scientist NPC can be found in the center room inside the Pokémon Lab. This room will also have a sign that says “Pokémon Lab R-and-D Room” next to the door.
You can get TM35 at any point after getting HM03 Surf and the Soulbadge.
This is what you need to do before you can get TM35:
- Obtain the Soulbadge by defeating Koga in Fuschia City
- Obtain HM03 Surf from the man in the secret house of the Safari Zone in Fuschia City
- Have a Pokémon in your party that knows Surf
Getting TM35 Metronome
Starting from the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center, head west until you reach the Pokémon Lab.
Enter the Pokémon Lab (last building at the end).
After entering the lab, walk east until you reach a set of 3 doors.
Enter the center “R-and-D” room.
Inside the center room, head northeast towards the scientist NPC in the top right corner of the room.
Talk to the scientist NPC. He’ll tell you that he created a cool TM and will then give you TM35 Metronome.
Metronome Details + Uses
|Metronome Move Details
|10 (max. 16)
|Uses a randomly selected move except for Metronome and Struggle.
Metronome is one of the most interesting and unique moves in the game.
It gives a Pokémon the ability to use nearly every move in the game.
This means your Pokémon could possibly use a powerful or helpful move that it doesn’t naturally learn or currently know.
However, there is an equal chance your Pokémon will end up using a weak or ineffective move.
While Metronome is a fun move to use, the unpredictability and inconsistency of the move makes it ultimately unreliable in battle.
