The Travel Stone is a tool that gives you the ability to travel anywhere in Mineral Town. It can be discovered on the very last floor of the Spring Mine (level 255) by breaking rocks on the floor until it spawns, but this can only happen in Year 3 or later.
This brief guide will cover exactly how you get the Travel Stone and how to use it.
Where to Find the Travel Stone
There’s only one requirement for the Travel Stone to appear: it must be Year 3 or later in the game.
Once you get to this point in your save, just grind your way down to the bottom of the Spring Mine and start digging. Eventually you’ll reach Level 255, where you can then break rocks until it spawns.

It can be challenging to get to this floor, even if you have all the upgraded tools and the Mine Elevator. And even when you manage to reach Level 255, it’s still not guaranteed that the Travel Stone will spawn.
Tip: If you don’t want to waste your time going back and forth between floors, try the save scum method. This works by saving your game on the 254th floor before you climb down the final ladder.
If you don’t find the Travel Stone after digging up the whole level, just go back to the previous save and try again.

The spawn rates of all the items found on the level will reset each time you reload the floor, so with enough attempts, you’ll definitely get your hands on the coveted Travel Stone.

How To Use the Travel Stone
Just like any other tool, the Travel Stone will be kept in your toolbag. You don’t need to actually equip it to be able to use it, though.
Just open up the Town Map and select any outdoor location you want. Then you can fast travel to that location instantly.

The main use for the Travel Stone is to access the Lake Mine when it’s not Winter.
During the warmer seasons, Kappa’s lake won’t be frozen over. This means that the farmer can’t walk over it and stroll to the mine entrance. Using the Travel Stone can bypass this annoying requirement and allow you to visit the Lake Mine year-round!

With the Travel Stone, you’ll be able to complete your daily errands and farm chores faster since you don’t have to spend time running around the map anymore.
