The Right Kind of Spice Shenanigan (Spiritfarer)

“The Right Kind of Spice” is the last and lengthiest shenanigan side quest you’ll find in the island of Overbrook.

Starting the Shenanigan

Given that this shenanigan is located in Overbrook (X: 212, Y: 56), you will first need to have the Mist Cleaner 100 Boat Improvement equipped on your ship.

In case you don’t have it yet, you can purchase it from Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64) using these materials:

  • 8 Silver Ores
  • 22 Silk Fabrics
  • 8 Bottled Ectoplasms
  • 6 Crystal Glass Sheets
  • 3 Spirit Flowers
  • 3,000 Glims

After getting the upgrade, head to the top-right of the World Map and past the fog to find the island of Overbrook.

Then once you’re on the island, head left until you reach the hospital. Jump up until you reach its top floor to find a small cafeteria with a window -here is where you’ll find the chef that gives you this side-quest.

“The Right Kind of Spice” Walkthrough

Talk to the chef and he will ask for help in preparing food / Spiritfarer

Upon talking to the chef, he’ll ask for your help by saying that there’s no fresh produce to make good food for the hospital patients.

He’ll then ask you for these recipes:

The spirit asking for different ingredients for the shenanigan / Spiritfarer

If you don’t have any of these recipes in your inventory, the chef will instead ask for these ingredients:

Ingredient Where to Get
4 Leeks

Seeds are bought from the Furogawa Raccoon Shop for 90 Glims each.

These seeds are then planted in the Field and watered until ready for harvesting.
3 Raspberries Acquired from raspberry bushes in either Barkensheim Creek or Greenhalten Bay.
5 Rice Flours

Rice Seeds are bought from the Furogawa Raccoon Shop for 70 Glims each.

These seeds are grown in the Field until ready. Once harvested, rice is milled in the Windmill to make Rice Flour.
4 Potatoes

Potato seeds are bought from the Oxbury Raccoon Shop for 110 Glims apiece.

These are then planted in the Garden until ready.

Head back to the chef afterwards and give him the ingredients to end this shenanigan.
