You can unlock the Gilded Magitek Armor by accumulating 500 commendations throughout your entire playthrough of the game.
On your 500th commendation, you’ll receive the “Everybody’s Darling” achievement, allowing you to claim the Gilded Armor Identification Key as a reward.
Accumulating Commendations
Whenever you use the Duty Finder to enter an instanced dungeon, trial, or raid, you’ll have a chance to receive a commendation from another member of your party.
However, if you queue with other members in a pre-made party, only party members outside your pre-made group can commend you.
For example:
If you’re a DPS with a healer friend and you queue for a 4-person dungeon, only the tank and other DPS can commend you if they choose to do so.
You can get a maximum of three commendations for instanced dungeons and a maximum of seven commendations for instanced trials or raids.
A good way to quickly accumulate commendations is to play as a tank or healer. These jobs usually have faster queues than DPS, and the community usually defaults to commending their tank or healer if everything goes smoothly.
Once you receive your 500th commendation, you’ll unlock the “Everybody’s Darling” achievement. Click on the achievement in chat or open your Achievements menu, then select the Gilded Armor Identification Key to claim your reward.
Use it in your inventory to unlock the Gilded Magitek Armor mount.
