How To Get the Sophic Lanner Mount in FFXIV

You can get the Sophic Lanner mount by acquiring a Sophic Lanner Whistle from the Level 60 trial Containment Bay P1T6 (Extreme), also known as the Sophia EX trial from the Heavensward expansion. You have two ways of getting the whistle:

• Win the Sophic Lanner Whistle from the Treasure Coffer after defeating Sophia EX. While it is an Extreme-level trial, you can beat Sophia on your own if you have a high-level character.
• Trade 99 Goddess Totems with Bertana in Idyllshire (X:5.9 Y:5.2) or Rowena’s Representative in Foundation (X:10.5, Y:11.8). You’ll receive one Goddess Totem after every clear. If you’re soloing the trial, you definitely won’t need 99 totems to get the whistle.

The Sophic Lanner mount is also one of the seven Lanner mounts you’ll need to acquire to unlock the Firebird mount.

Containment Bay P1T6 (Extreme)

At this point in the game, The Containment Bay P1T6 (Extreme) trial is pretty dated.

It’s an endgame trial introduced in Patch 3.4 of the Heavensward expansion, back when the level cap is still 60.

With a high-level character, you can easily solo this trial, whether you’re a healer, tank, or DPS.

After killing Sophia EX, you’ll be able to open a treasure coffer that has a low chance of dropping the Sophic Lanner Whistle. So you may need to run the trial a few times before getting the mount.

If you’re doing the trial with seven other people, you do have a “pity” option of acquiring the whistle. You’ll get a Goddess Totem for each kill, and you can trade 99 of them with Bertana in Idyllshire (X:5.9 Y:5.2) or Rowena’s Representative in Foundation (X:10.5, Y:11.8) for the Sophic Lanner Whistle (or weapon loot).

Once you get the whistle, just open your inventory and use it to get the Sophic Lanner mount.
