How To Get the White Lanner Mount in FFXIV

You can unlock the White Lanner mount by acquiring the White Lanner Whistle from the Level 60 trial The Limitless Blue (Extreme), also known as Bismarck EX.

You have two ways of getting the whistle from the trial:

• Win the White Lanner Whistle from the Treasure Coffer after defeating Bismarck EX. It’s recommended to do the trial alone and unsynced with a high-level character to get the mount as soon as it drops.
• Trade 99 Expanse Totems with Bertana in Idyllshire (X:5.9 Y:5.2) or Rowena’s Representative in Foundation (X:10.5, Y:11.8). One Expanse Totem is guaranteed to drop after every kill. You’ll most likely only acquire 99 totems if you’re running the trial with a full 8-person party and get extremely unlucky.

The White Lanner mount is also one of the seven Lanner mounts you’ll need to acquire to unlock the Firebird mount.

The Limitless Blue (Extreme)

Defeating Bismarck EX in The Limitless Blue (Extreme) is your primary method of obtaining the White Lanner Whistle. It’s a Level 60 trial from patch 3.0 of the Heavensward expansion and can be easily soloed at this point in the game.

You can spare yourself the trouble of rolling against other people by entering the trial unsynced with a high-level character. However, you can still die if you’re unfamiliar with the mechanics since you can fall off the platform if you’re knocked back by certain attacks.

After each clear, there’s a small chance of the whistle dropping directly from the chest.

Alternatively, you do have the option to trade 99 of the Expanse Totems you get after each clear for the White Lanner Whistle (or weapon loot) with Bertana in Idyllshire (X:5.9 Y:5.2) or Rowena’s Representative in Foundation (X:10.5, Y:11.8).
