The Level 75 dungeon The Qitana Ravel can be unlocked by accepting the level 75 MSQ “The Burden of Knowledge” from Almet in The Rak’tika Greatwood (X:30.5, Y:17.4).
This MSQ is part of the patch 5.0 main storyline for the Shadowbringers expansion.

Unlocking Quest: The Burden of Knowledge
“The Burden of Knowledge” is part of the patch 5.0 Main Scenario Questline for the Shadowbringers expansion. You’ll need to finish every MSQ leading up to it, including MSQs from the previous expansions.
Once you’ve done so, speak with Almet in The Rak’tika Greatwood (X:30.5, Y:17.4) to begin.
In this MSQ, the pursuit of the lightwarden of Rak’tika Greatwood continues.
Investigations have led you and your fellow scions to believe that the lightwarden resides within The Qitana Ravel.
After receiving Almet and the Viis’ blessing, head to the dungeon’s entrance in The Rak’tika Greatwood (X:38.5, Y:13.6).
Simply interact with the entrance to unlock The Qitana Ravel. This dungeon requires at least a Level 75 Disciple of War and Magic job and an average item level of 380 to enter.
Boss #1: Lozatl
Mechanics
- Stonefist: A red tankbuster marker on the primary target.
- Sun Toss: One player will be targeted with a circle AoE.
- Lozatl’s Scorn: A room-wide AoE attack.
- Ronkan Light: One of two Ronkan statues will glow purple and eventually use an AoE that will cover half the arena. Getting hit by this attack will result in a stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuff for 60 seconds. Check which statue is glowing and move to the opposite side.
- Heat Up + Lozatl’s Fury: One of the boss’ shoulders will emit a fiery glow. Then, it’ll slam its buffed arm for an AoE that stuns players for five seconds and applies a stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuff for 60 seconds. Move to the opposite side of its buffed arm. This attack will often overlap with “Ronkan Light.”

Boss #2: Batsquatch
Mechanics
- Ripper Fang: A red tankbuster marker on the primary target.
- Soundwave: A room-wide AoE attack.
- Subsonics: A multi-hit room-wide AoE that drops rocks from the ceiling, applying a stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuff for 60 seconds to anyone hit. Up to three massive rock pillars will also drop from above. Heal through the damage and look for the rock pillars to prepare for the next mechanic.
- Towerfall: “Soundwave” casts will cause the massive rock pillars to fall, dealing high damage and applying stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuffs for 60 seconds to anyone hit. Check which direction the pillars will fall on.

Boss #3: Eros
Mechanics
- Rend: A red tankbuster marker on the primary target.
- Hound out of Heaven: The boss will target a player with a proximity tether and eventually rush toward them, damaging anyone in its path. If the player stands too close to the boss, this attack will also apply a stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuff for 60 seconds. Run away from the boss to reduce incoming damage.
- Glossolalia: A room-wide AoE attack.
- Viper Poison: The boss will spawn five circle AoEs in one of two patterns: center + edges or stacked in the center. Each AoE will drop a green puddle that applies a “Poison” DoT for 15 seconds.
Later in the fight, one player will also receive a “Viper Poison” puddle. Drop the puddle to the outer edges and dispel the DoTs as necessary. - Inhale: The boss will jump to one side of the arena and pull players toward it. Run toward it before the cast goes off to avoid touching the poisonous puddles. You can also use knockback-immunity skills to ignore this entirely.
- Heaving Breath: Immediately after “Inhale,” the boss will push everyone back with a room-wide knockback attack. Stand between the gaps of the poisonous puddles to ensure you don’t get pushed into them, or use knockback-immunity skills if you haven’t yet.
- Confession of Faith: The boss will jump to one side of the arena and use one of two attacks:
- Fire Breath: A non-telegraphed frontal cone AoE from the boss’ middle head that applies a stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuff for 60 seconds. The boss will also mark players with targeted circle AoEs. Spread your AoE markers out on the boss’ flanks.
- Lightning Breath: Two non-telegraphed AoEs from the boss’ left and right heads that apply stacking “Vulnerability Up” debuffs for 60 seconds. At the same time, one player will receive a stack-up marker. Stack in front of the boss’ middle head to avoid the AoEs and mitigate incoming damage.
