Abomasnow’s Mega Stone Abomasite can be found in the Berry Master’s garden on Route 123. This is located directly east of the Route 123 signpost.

However, you can only find it there after you defeat/catch Kyogre or Groudon in the Cave of Origin.

Abomasite Location (Step-by-Step)

Most Mega Stones (including Abomasnow’s Mega Stone) are only obtainable after you defeat or catch Kyogre or Groudon in Sootopolis City; more specifically, in the Cave of Origin. This major event happens right before you’re able to challenge the eighth and final Gym Leader.

So once that’s all settled, the Abomasite can be found in the Berry Master’s garden. Being located on Route 123’s northernmost part, the Berry Master’s garden is a unique garden that contains many rare berry trees.

From Route 118, go east to enter Route 123. Or if you’ve already been to this area, simply fly over to Route 123 to get started.

Step 1: Follow the dirt path heading east from the Route 123 sign.

Step 2: Once you see a picket fence and a lighter path in the grass, follow that north towards the Berry Master’s house.

Step 5: Continue following the path, then turn left when you come to a section of pine trees.

Step 6: Keep going left until you hit another patch of pine trees. In the corner directly in front of these trees, interact with the sparkling item – it will be a few steps down from the nearby berry trees.

This item is the Abomasite.

How Abomasite Works

Mega Abomasnow’s Snow Warning summons a hailstorm

Mega Stones, like the Abomasite, are held items that allow certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve, granting them a massive boost to their base stats.

When Abomasnow Mega Evolves into Mega Abomasnow, it changes its ability to Snow Warning, which summons a hailstorm for five turns.

This ability will not trigger again if a hailstorm is already active before you Mega Evolved.

Mega Abomasnow gains a significant boost to its Attack and Special Attack stat, making it a good mixed attacker. Both of its defenses are also enhanced, but its Speed is cut in half. Regular Abomasnow was already slow, so it doesn’t really matter.

Generally, Mega Abomasnow shines in Double Battles, where its teammate can also take advantage of the hailstorm. It has access to powerful multi-hit moves like Blizzard and Earthquake, making it an effective wallbreaker in the Doubles format.
