Where To Get Scizorite in Pokémon ORAS

Mega Scizor in battle in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Scizor’s Mega Stone Scizorite can be found inside Petalburg Woods. However, you need to bring a Pokémon that knows HM01 Cut to access where the Mega Stone is located. And you will only be able to access this area once you’ve defeated Kyogre or Groudon (depending on your version).

Below we’ll show you exactly where to go & the exact tile where you’ll find this mega stone as a hidden item.

Most Mega Stones aren’t obtainable until after you defeat/catch Kyogre or Groudon in Sootopolis City. More specifically, in the Cave of Origin.

This major event happens right before you get to challenge the eighth and final Gym.

So after you defeat/catch Kyogre or Groudon, all you have to do to obtain the Scizorite is to go to Petalburg Woods through its north entrance on Route 104. Make sure you’ve brought along a Pokémon that knows the HM Cut.

Once you’re in Petalburg Woods, use HM01 Cut on the prickly tree blocking the path heading east.

Then follow the path marked in the map above.

The Scizorite should be a hidden item on the ground, located directly south of the mossy rock (location pictured below).

How Scizorite Works

Mega Stones are held items that allow certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve, granting them a massive boost to their base stats.

Most Mega Evolutions also change the Pokémon’s ability, which lasts until the battle concludes. Scizor is already popular in competitive thanks to its stellar typing and offensive capabilities.

When Scizor Mega Evolves into Mega Scizor, its Attack stat is enhanced even further.

Mega Evolving also boosts both of its defensive stats, making this sweeper harder to take out. Mega Scizor also gains a slight boost in its base Speed.

Thanks to its newfound bulk, you can build Mega Scizor as a defensive Swords Dance sweeper. It can even run a recovery move like Roost to help it sustain itself. However, Scizor’s fast physical sweeper set is still a solid option as far as builds go.
