Tips & Strategies for Defeating Drake

Challenging Drake

Here are some tips and strategies to help you win this fight:

  • Utilize Ice-type Moves. Most of Drake’s team is 4x weak to Ice-type moves, such as Ice Beam or Blizzard. Dragon and Fairy-type moves are also a good option, as they deal 2x damage to every one of his Pokémon.
  • Consider Using Fairy-Type Pokémon. Fairy-type Pokémon bring a unique advantage – they not only inflict super effective damage against Dragon types but also have immunity to Dragon-type moves. Fairy-types with offensive moves like Play Rough or Moonblast can make quick work of Drake’s team.
  • Bring Non-Dragon Type Pokémon with Dragon-type Moves. Exploit Dragon’s self-weakness by using Pokémon of other types that can learn moves like Dragon Claw or Dragon Tail. You can still use Dragon-types at your own risk, just make sure they can outspeed Drake’s team.
  • Target Altaria and Salamence with Special Attacks. Counter Altaria’s Cotton Guard and Salamence’s Intimidate by using special attacks. Physical attacks may not be as effective and could deal less damage than usual.
  • Avoid Using Pokémon with Low Bulk. Dragon-types are known for their sheer strength and high base stat totals. It’s advisable to avoid using Pokemon with low HP and Defenses, unless you can confidently outspeed and outdamage his Pokemon.
