Gold is one of the ores that you can get in the Spring Mine. They don’t sell for much on their own, but you can use them to upgrade your tools.

How To Get Gold Ores

Ores like Gold can only be found simply by breaking rocks with your Hammer in the mines. Just keep digging until you finally strike Gold!

More specifically, Gold Ores can usually be found between Levels 6-255.

The farmer finds Gold in the Spring Mine.

You don’t need any upgraded tools to get Gold in the Spring Mine.

But if you’ve unlocked the Mine Elevator already, skip to a floor past Level 6 for increased chances of finding some.

Gold Ore Uses

Upgrading Tools

Gold tools are the first upgrade you can get for all of your tools to make them more efficient.

For example, with a Gold Hoe, you can till the ground 4 squares ahead of you instead of only 1 square directly in front of you.

Here are the requirements you need for each Gold Upgrade:

55% experience with a Silver tool
3,000 G
One Gold Ore

Once you gain enough experience with a tool, you’ll get a message telling you that you can now upgrade that tool at the Forge.

Keep in mind that once you ask Saibara to upgrade one of your tools, you won’t be able to use it until he’s done and you pick it up from him at the Forge.

Selling Gold

Gold can be sold to either Zack or Huang for 25 G.

To sell your Gold to Zack, simply drop your ores into the Shipping Bin and wait for him to pick them up at 5:00 PM every day.

The farmer drops Gold into the Shipping Bin.

Selling your Gold via the Shipping Bin will count towards the list of shippable items you need to achieve for full completion.

Shipping all possible items is a requirement for marrying Kappa or the Harvest Goddess! You can track your progress by checking the Shipping List on your bookshelf.
