SoS: FoMT Karen Gifts Guide (Friendship + Marriage)

Karen is Jeff and Sasha’s daughter and spends some time helping out at the General Store.

Her birthday is on Autumn 15th. If you set your farmer’s birthday on the same day, her birthday will be on Autumn 23rd instead.

This guide will teach you all you need to know about Karen, whether you want to marry her or just be friends!

Schedule

The easiest way to find Karen is to catch her in the mornings while she’s talking to Rick outside the General Store. She’ll still be inside every day after the shop opens, but she has the tendency to wander around town when it’s sunny.

Karen’s routine is pretty consistent though so just pay her a visit whenever you need to stock up on Jeff’s goods!

Karen’s favorite gifts require either a frying pan or oven to cook. Popcorn is the easiest dish to make for her after you get the recipe from Kai, as it only requires Corn and a frying pan.

Some other easy loved gifts for her are the forageable Bamboo Shoots, Wild Grapes, and cheese.

Heart Events

As you continue to raise your friendship points and heart level with Karen, you can unlock heart events that allow you to get to know her better.

During the cutscene, your farmer will have to respond with one dialogue option. Choosing the correct response will give you 3,000 LP with Karen, otherwise you will lose -2,000 LP.

Remember that you can only view a heart event once you’ve successfully seen all the previous ones, so make sure you’ve checked every single one on the list!

Marriage/Friendship Perks

Karen is a marriage candidate, and befriending her can trigger some cutscenes that not only add additional love points, but also result in extra friendship points for Jeff, Sasha, and Duke if you choose the right interaction.

You can also earn extra love points with Karen by buying things from the General Store. For every 20 items you buy until you reach a total of 100 items, you’ll get a bonus of 2,500 LP.
