Pulsar ore falls under the metals category of Spiritfarer. This ore is acquired from the Pulsar Rays event that the spirits Mickey and Bruce will introduce to you. Once acquired, you can take pulsar ore inside the Foundry and turn them into pulsar ingots.

These ingots can then be used to make at least 2 buildings and 3 improvements.

How To Get Pulsar Ore

The pulsar rays event will have you jumping all over the ship to catch the light rays / Spiritfarer
The pulsar rays event will have you jumping all over the ship to catch the light rays.

Before anything, you will need to find the brothers Bruce & Mickey, a spirit duo that’s hanging out in the island of Southpoint Docks, at X: 157, Y: 22.

After the duo are on your ship, they will immediately introduce you to the Pulsar Rays event through the “Rhythm of the Night” quest.

The quest itself is location-based, and all of the areas for this event are:

  • X: 156, Y: -15 (Oxbury Region)
  • X: 219, Y: -95 (Oxbury Region)
  • X: 239, Y: 87 (Crow’s End Region)

Once you start the event, all you need to do is jump around the ship and “catch” the blue-colored rays that will fly from all directions. The more rays you catch, the more pulsar ore you get.

This event remains available even after Bruce & Mickey have passed through the Everdoor.

Note: It’s important to keep in mind that pulsar ore is the only ore that can’t be planted on any of the Turtle Sisters.

How To Make Pulsar Ingots

Using the Foundry to turn pulsar ore into ingots.

Before you can make any pulsar ingots, you will need the Foundry.

You can head to our Foundry Guide in case you don’t have this building yet. Once the Foundry is built, here’s what you need to do inside to produce ingots:

Step 1: Start by heading inside and interacting with the furnace in the middle to input some coal from your inventory. You can put as much coal as you like.

Place coal here / Spiritfarer

Step 2: Next, go to the left side and interact with the compartment to input some of your pulsar ore. You can input up to 50 if you wish.

Step 3: Once the items have been confirmed, the foundry minigame will start.

Interact with the bellows on each side in an alternating manner to push the needle up to the required temperature. While doing this, make sure that the indicator doesn’t go over the indicated temperature, as doing so will overheat the Foundry and restart the process.

Make sure the indicator stays in the green area while pushing the bellows one either side / Spiritfarer

Step 4: Keep pressing on the bellows until the thermometer fills up, and the pulsar ingots will automatically fall inside the basket at the right for you to collect easily.
