In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the only way to get Miracle Seeds is by purchasing them at the Rocket Game Corner in Celadon City.

Each Miracle Seed costs 1,000 Coins a piece. So you can win the coins in the Game Corner, or you can purchase 1,000 Coins at the Rocket Game Corner’s counter for 20,000 Poké Dollars.

This is the only way to acquire Miracle Seeds in the game (aside from trading).

Prerequisites

Getting Miracle Seeds is fairly easy, all things considered. It just takes a little bit of grinding – either on slots or through trainer battles.

The prerequisites for getting a Miracle Seed are:

  • Be able to reach Celadon City
  • Have a Coin Case (obtained in Celadon City)
  • Have 20,000 Poké Dollars or 1,000 Game Corner Coins

Basically, you just need to have the money to purchase the Rocket Game Corner Coins and you’re good to go.

How To Get Miracle Seeds

If you already know how the Game Corner works, then you just need to buy 1,000 Coins at the Game Corner in Celadon City, then spend them on the Miracle Seed.

If you’re not sure exactly how to do this, then keep reading!

Find The Rocket Game Corner

The Rocket Game Corner is hard to miss. It’s the large orangish-red building in the center of Celadon City.

The larger part of the building on the left is where the slot machines are. This is where you can buy Coins and win (or most likely lose) them playing the slots.

The smaller portion of the building on the right is where Coins can be exchanged for prizes.

Getting Coins

Once you’re in Celadon City, you need to win some Coins.

We can earn these coins by purchasing them or by playing slots. At the Rocket Game Corner, 500 Coins cost 10,000 Poké Dollars, so we will need 20,000 Poké Dollars to buy a Miracle Seed.

While expensive, this is the best option because the slots can be very unfair, and wind up costing a lot more in the long run.

To buy Coins, head to the back-left corner of the slots room and talk to the cashier on the right.

Purchase two sets of 500 Coins for 20,000 Poké Dollars, and then get ready to head next door to spend them.

If you want to earn your Coins through the slot machines, you can build up a small bankroll by talking to the NPCs around the Game Corner, or you can make a smaller purchase of 50 Coins.

Once you have some Coins to play with, simply walk up and press A on a slot machine to start playing it.

The slots are fun. But they’re super unfair and can be very frustrating to play if you’re trying to earn enough Coins for something specific.

Buying Miracle Seeds

Once you have your 1,000 Coins, head to the smaller Game Corner building on the right. This is where Coins can be exchanged for prizes like TMs, Items, and even Pokémon.

When you walk in, there will be three cashiers. Each cashier handles a different type of Prize.

The cashier we want is the one on the left, so go ahead and talk to them.

The cashier will tell you about their Coin exchange and then show you a list of items that you can purchase, including a Miracle Seed.

The Miracle Seed is a held item that will boost the holder’s Grass Type moves by 10%. Miracle Seeds are a decent choice as a held item if you have a Grass-Type Pokémon on your team like Bulbasaur.

Since Grass Types are very common, and Miracle Seeds are one of the easiest held items to obtain in FRLG, it’s worth picking up at least one at the Rocket Game Corner.
