Cake is a regular-sized dessert dish in Spiritfarer. To bake a cake you’ll need any kid of flour and any kind of sweetener as ingredients.

What You Need

In order to make the cake recipe, you will need:

  • The Improved Kitchen
  • 1 Flour (Any Kind)
  • 1 Sweetener (Any Kind)

You can get the blueprint for the kitchen improvement during the “Big Stove” request that Atul will ask for in his storyline.

Where To Get Flour

Any flour you make is collected in the bottom compartment of the Windmill. / Spiritfarer
Any flour you make is collected in the bottom compartment of the Windmill.

Flour starts as grain, so you’ll need to pick from these three grain options:

  • Rice Seeds (70 Glims, Furogawa Shop)
  • Wheat Seeds (100 Glims, Oxbury Shop)
  • Corn Seeds (50 Glims, Hummingberg Shop)

After purchasing whatever seeds you prefer, plant them in your Field and harvest once they’re ready. Then take your crops to the Windmill to start making flour.

The Windmill process goes like this:

  1. Put your new grains in the mid-level compartment beside the door.
  2. Interact with the square column at the top and align it with the small wheel.
  3. Once the wheel starts spinning, keep aligning the column with it to continue milling.
  4. Take note of the wind as well, as this will affect how fast the windmill wheel can spin.
  5. Take your flour from the bottom compartment of the windmill.

Note: In case you haven’t built the Windmill yet, we have a complete guide on all the required materials.

Where To Get Sweetener

There are three kinds of sweeteners you can choose from in the game. These are:

  • Honey
  • Maple Syrup
  • Sugar

Let’s start with Maple Syrup. The only way to get it is as a reward from Francis’ “Sugar Shack’s Delight” errand. To complete this, you will need to catch:

Requirement Where to Get
1 Sole A fish caught in the Hummingberg, Furogawa, and Crow’s End region during Dawn and Midnight.
1 Squid Caught in the Hummingberg and Furogawa Region at any time and any weather.
1 Sockeye Salmon Caught in the Crow’s End region during noon or midnight.

Next option is sugar. You’d get that with sugar cane seeds from the Edgeborough Lane Raccoon Shop for 200 Glims each. These seeds are planted in the Field until you can harvest them as sugar cane. After that, you’ll need to crush them in the Crusher building to make sugar.

And finally the last option: honey.

The quickest way to get this is via Francis’ “Honey, I Shrunk the Fishes” errand. To complete this, you will need to catch:

  • 1 Albacore Tuna
  • 1 Bluefin Tuna
  • 1 Yellowfin Tuna

Tuna locations are marked all over the map, but remember that these fish are the hardest to catch in the game. In most cases, trying to catch them can take up to five minutes, so be patient when it comes to reeling in and letting go of the line.

Tip: Later on in the game, the Beehive upgrade in the Field will give you better access to harvesting honey.

How To Make Cake

Simply take your flour and sweetener of choice to the kitchen oven to start cooking.

A timer will pop out of the oven, and your cake will be ready once the timer finishes counting down. However, make sure you don’t leave the cake inside for too long, as it will end up as burnt food and will waste your ingredients.

This dessert dish can be served to the following spirits:

  • Atul
  • Summer
  • Alice
  • Stanley

Alternatively, you can sell Cakes to Raccoon Shop branches for 335 Glims.
