Pine logs fall under Spiritfarer’s wood category of materials. These are obtained by cutting down pine trees located on certain islands or any of the Turtle Sisters. These logs are then turned into planks using the sawmill, before being used in at least 2 buildings and 4 improvements.
Getting Pine Logs (All Pine Trees)
Pine logs are acquired by cutting down pine trees. To do this, simply get near any pine tree and click the interact button to turn Stella’s everlight into a saw. Then, saw left to right repeatedly until the tree falls and turns into logs.
Trees that are cut down also grow back after a few in-game days, and the trees can be found in these islands:
- Shadow Forest
- Hidden Thicket
- Obscure Canopy
- Misty Woods
Note: Keep in mind that all of these islands require the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement to reach.
Shadow Forest
This is a late-game island that, as mentioned above, requires the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement.
Once you have the upgrade, head south-west on the World Map to find the island at X: -95, Y: 78.
Upon your arrival on the island, you’ll immediately find the 3 pine trees all standing side-by-side.
Hidden Thicket
This island also requires the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement, and it’s located just on the right side of Shadow Forest, at X: -42, Y: -91.
Once you’re on the island, simply head right and jump into the water until you find another islet. Here, you can find a single pine tree you can cut down.
Obscure Canopy
Obscure Canopy is located on the World Map’s north-eastern region, at X: -42, Y: -91.
Upon your arrival on the island, head right and use the giant air geyser to glide up and reach the island on the left. You should see a single pine tree near the edge beside a tall blue spirit.
Misty Woods
For the last island, simply head up north from Obscure Canopy to find Misty Woods at X: 148, Y: 152.
This island also requires the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement.
Pine Tree #1
The first pine tree can be immediately found beside you after arriving on the island.
Pine Tree #2
From the first tree, head to your left until you find a green tent. Bounce on the tent to reach the higher landing to find the second pine tree, beside the telephone pole.
Using the Turtle Sisters
After unlocking any of the Turtle Sisters, you can also go ahead and plant pine trees on their backs. These trees will then grow after a few in-game days, and you can cut them down (and plant some more) to improve your supply of pine logs.
The three turtle sisters can be found at:
- Olga (X: 81, Y: 28)
- Masha (X: -91, Y: 138)
- Irina (X: 127, Y: -76)
How To Make Pine Planks
Once you have pine logs, head to your sawmill and put in anywhere between 1 and 50 logs. Then trace the yellow line on the wood as it passes by the indicator.
The better you trace the lines, the more planks you get.
Each log can output a maximum of up to 4 planks, plus 1 sawdust. However, improving the sawmill will increase the maximum amount of planks up to 6.
