What You Need
To make this acquired taste dish, make sure you prepare these requirements beforehand:
- 1 Sauerkraut
- 1 Pork
- The Kitchen
How To Make Sauerkraut (Quick Guide)
Sauerkraut is actually an existing recipe that you’ll need to make before you can make a Sauerkraut Meal.
To get started, make sure you already have the Cellar building. This is unlocked via the Master Blueprint Station, which is an upgrade that you can get via these required materials:
- 10 Silica Powder
- 10 Zinc Ingots
- 2,800 Glims
Additionally, all of the needed materials for this improvement is detailed in our Blueprint Station Guide.

Once you have the upgrade, it’s time to make your Cellar. Here’s what you’ll need for the building:
- 20 Linen Fabric
- 3 Comet Rocks
- 10 Bottled Ectoplasm
After you have the Cellar, head to the island of Loneberg.
Once in Loneberg, head to the Raccoon Store and purchase some Cabbage seeds for 90 Glims apiece. Then, simply head back to your ship and plant these in your Garden until you can harvest the cabbage.

After harvesting the cabbage, head inside your Cellar building and interact with any of the three compartments to input the vegetable.
A timer will then appear, and the cabbage will turn into Sauerkraut after it finishes counting down.
Note: Remember that leaving the cabbage long past the indicated waiting time will lead to spoiled food.
Where To Get Pork

All in all, you can purchase pork from any of these Raccoon Shop branches for 150 Glims apiece. The locations are as follows:
- Furogawa
- Oxbury
- Nordweiler
Out of these three locations, the island of Furogawa is the easiest to reach since it requires no prior ship upgrades.
How To Cook a Sauerkraut Meal

Once you have all your ingredients, simply head to your kitchen and put in both sauerkraut and pork in the oven.
A timer will appear, and your sauerkraut meal will be ready once it’s done counting down. But remember that the dish can get burned if you leave it inside the oven for too long.
Given that this dish is an acquired taste, you can serve this meal to the following spirits:
Other than that, you can also sell this dish to all Raccoon Shop locations for a whopping 700 Glims.
