Stanley is the only child spirit that will be joining Stella’s ship. He’s also the only spirit that you can’t pick up to recruit from any of the islands.

To make sure you succeed in recruiting him, this guide will walk you through a complete step-by-step of how to find him and how to complete his entire quest line.

We will also include his interests, mood factors, and characteristics.

How To Get Stanley

As mentioned above, Stanley is the only spirit that you can’t find on any of the islands.

Here’s how to recruit him:

Step 1: Send a total of four spirits to the Everdoor. This might take some time so just keep working through the game.

Step 2: Once that’s achieved, you will need to fish for a Mysterious Seed with a Mushroom icon (pictured above).

Take note that there’s no specific place where you need to fish, and catching the seed itself is completely random.

Note: For players who are having difficulty in catching the seed, you can also try looking for it in Francis the Wandering Merchant’s shop.

Step 3: Once you have it, plant the seed in your garden and wait for it to grow. Then when it’s time to pull it out, the spirit Stanley will come out from the ground and give you an Obol.

He will then run away to your Cabin after.

Talk to him there, and he’ll then decide to lock himself in the Guest House. This begins his quest line.
