|Where to Find
|Overbrook (X: 212, Y: 56)
Daria is one of the final spirits that you get to meet as the Spiritfarer. Since her quest line is intertwined with Jackie, you won’t be able to find her without meeting Jackie first.
This can get confusing, so our guide here will provide you with an in-depth breakdown of her full questline. Additionally we also added her mood factors and characteristics at the end of this guide.
How To Get Daria
The only way to meet Daria is through the “House Call” request that the spirit Jackie gives you.
Before that, however, you need a few requirements. These include:
- Mist Cleaner 1000 (Boat Improvement)
- Rock Destroyer (Boat Improvement)
- Double Jump (Ability)
- Zip Line (Ability)
- Glide (Optional Ability but Recommended)
Once you have all those things just follow these steps:
Step 1: Find the spirit Jackie in Overboook (X: 213, Y: 57) and follow his quest line until the “House Call” request.
Step 2: Here, you will need to go to the top of the Overbrook lighthouse to find Daria’s room. Once inside, “The Old Guitarist” request will unlock.
Step 3: Pick up the music sheets from the desk and play the arrangement you find using the guitar.
This will wake up Daria so you can meet her, before Jackie shows up again to ask you to come down.
Daria’s Complete Quest Line
Hot Still-Scape for Six Colors
This request unlocks after you’ve completed Jackie’s “Engineering 101.”
Once you gain access to Daria’s room again via the zipline connected to the power supply, she will talk to you and mention an instrument before going back to sleep.
Head back to your ship to find Francis’ Floating Shop. Then talk to him and ask about the instrument that Daria mentioned.
Francis will then give it to you in exchange for:
- 2 Clear Glass Sheets (1 Lime Powder + 1 Silica Powder)
- 2 Steel Sheets (1 Iron Ingot + 1 Carbon Powder)
Both of these requirements are made in the Smithy.
After completing the errand, Francis will give you The Strange Instrument, and you may give it to Daria to end the request and gain an Obol (use the zipline again to reach her room).
Simultaneously, this will also unlock Jackie’s “The Incident” request, which you’ll need to do to continue with Daria’s questline.
The Night Watch
Once Jackie disappears after “The Incident,” Daria will call for you through the pager.
So simply head to her room in Overbrook and talk to her. This will end the request and start the next one.
Platforming Shenanigans: The Raft of the Medusa
After Daria talks to you, head outside of her room and interact with the flowers on the wall.
Stella will play her guitar, and a platforming minigame with Daria will start.
The platforming minigame itself is pretty simple.
Just use your double jump to reach the platforms every time they appear solid until you reach Daria and she speaks.
There are three “levels” in this minigame, but they’re all straightforward.
Completing this request will reward you with 2 Radiant Springs.
Platforming Shenanigans: Titanic Days (1) (A Helpful Spending Spree)
This is not a Daria request per se, but it’s still related to the next ones you’ll be getting.
Start by talking to the new admin of Overbrook standing on the side of the tower. He thinks that the positive changes happening around Overbrook are all because of the vending machine.
The admin will then ask you to “let loose” and buy more items from the vending machine.
So head to the machine and use your 2 Radiant Springs to buy some health nuts, ending this segment.
Platforming Shenanigans: The Great Wave
After buying the health nuts, head to the power station isle (the one on the far-left of Overbrook).
Once there, you’ll find flowers on the roof of the smaller building, similar to the ones Daria had outside her room.
Go to the flowers and play your guitar to enter The Mind Palace and start another platforming segment.
The platforming itself is similar to the last one.
You will just need to make your way to the top.
This time however, there will be a couple of spikes that you need to easily avoid. There will also be helpful lamps that will tell you where to go.
Once you find Daria at the very top, the minigame will end and you will be rewarded with 4 radiant springs.
Platforming Shenanigans: The Titanic Days (2)
Head back to the vending machine and use your 4 radiant springs to buy the Loose Spices.
Platforming Shenanigans: The Last Supper
Buying the Loose Spices will now trigger special flowers from the cafeteria’s rooftop.
Again, head there and interact with them to enter the Mind Palace again for another platforming minigame.
The game itself is the same as last time.
However, we recommend having the double jump and glide abilities here, as they will help you pass through the borders and reach higher platforms.
Once you finish it, you’ll be rewarded with 6 Radiant Springs.
Platforming Shenanigans: The Titanic Days (3)
After this, head back to the vending machine and this time use your radiant springs to buy Crackers for Animals.
Platforming Shenanigans: Rooms by the Sea
Finally, the special flowers will appear to your right, close to the vending machine itself.
Interact with the flowers and use your platforming skills to complete the challenge. Don’t worry, because the platforming itself never gets difficult and this is the final one you need to finish.
Once complete, you’ll get 8 Radiant Springs.
Use these Radiant Springs to buy Muriel’s Sticky Toffee. A spirit will then appear, offering you more Radiant Springs in exchange for the Toffee.
Agree with the exchange, and use your extra Radiant Springs to buy the Space Sticks before heading back to your ship.
Eventually you’ll get a message from your pager.
Head back to Overbrook, and you’ll find Daria beside the vending machine, where she’ll ask you to take her to the Everdoor.
After saying goodbye, you’ll find her Spirit Flower at the wall of her room atop the Lighthouse.
With Daria’s goodbye, Jackie will then appear on your ship so you can continue his questline.
As Jackie’s main patient, Daria suffered from a behavioral syndrome and chromesthesia, which explains why her platforming mini-games are related to music.
However, it wasn’t mentioned whether she knew Stella or not during her past life.
Daria herself is pretty simple. She likes hugs and eating her favorite food, though this does not lead to any perks. She’s also the only spirit that won’t come aboard the ship while you follow her quest line.
Her food preferences are:
- Favorite food: Apple
- Likes: Fresh fruit
- Dislikes: Everything else
While a big part of Daria’s questline centers around the Mind Palace platforming minigame, the resources you get from this are still part of her story, and don’t lead to upgrades on your ship.
