How To Unlock the Zipline Ability in Spiritfarer

Effect Allows Stella to ride through wire lines in any direction.

Zipline is the third ability you can learn in Spiritfarer (after Double Jump and Glide).

Once you have access to the Zipline ability, it allows Stella to ride up and down hanging wires in different areas. This allows you to get to otherwise unreachable spots.

As always, this ability requires another two obols (on top of the obols you needed for Glide & Double Jump). So make sure you already have new ones on your ship.

Once you have the required obols, pay a visit to Albert’s Shipyard and purchase the Icebreaker Boat Improvement. This upgrade requires these items:

  • 10 Iron Ingots
  • 12 Oak Planks
  • 18 Linen Fabrics
  • 1 Spirit Flower
  • 5 Slates
  • 800 Glims

Once you have the improvement, sail north and proceed to the island of Nordweiler, located at (X: -3, Y: 185) on the World Map.

Once you’re on the island, head left and climb up the tall ladder to find the shrine just beside it.

Then simply interact with the shrine to unlock the zipline ability.

How Zipline Works

After Stella gets the ability, you can immediately practice it on the lines spread all over the island of Nordweiler. This is done by jumping up any of the wires and holding up to make Stella activate the ability.

Once Stella is on the wire, you can go in either direction the line is going.

You can then use this to reach some of the treasure chests scattered around the island.
