Glide is the second ability you can unlock in Spiritfarer (after Double Jump). You’ll get it from the Furogawa shrine once you earn 2 Obols from spirits on your ship.

By using the Glide ability, Stella can jump from a high spot and slowly glide in either direction. This is useful for reaching hidden areas or higher places.

You need 2 Obols for Glide, and you’ll get this after you earn Double Jump.

So first you’ll want to recruit new spirits on the ship to gain those obols. This can include any of the following spirits:

If you have any of these spirits aboard, just follow their initial requests until you gather at least two more obols.

Then head towards the island of Furogawa at (X: -150, Y: 67).

Once there, head right and climb up two sets of ladders. Then keep heading right past all the houses until you find a shrine similar to the one in Hummingberg. It’s located just beside the island’s Raccoon Shop branch.

At the shrine you can exchange your obols to unlock the glide ability.

How Glide Works

Gliding down allows Stella to fall slowly and land on hard-to-reach places.

Gliding is pretty simple, but here’s how it works:

Start by double-jumping to go up high in the air (or jump from a high spot) and then hold down the jump button as you’re falling.

Gliding down allows you to reach the roofs of houses on various islands. In Furogawa this includes a few treasure chests that you can find.

Gusts of wind from giant fans can also help you glide up very high in the air. / Spiritfarer

Additionally, there’s a giant fan on the right side of the shrine where you can test your gliding ability.

Just stand in the middle, jump up and hold down the jump button to let the wind carry you up. You can then glide slowly from either direction to find hidden areas and to practice using the ability.
