The Lost Shrine is a hidden island found on the northeast section of the Spiritfarer World Map. It contains the final ability that Stella can unlock.

How To Unlock

You need three things to unlock the Lost Shrine:

Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement
Buck the spirit
Treasure Map from Francis

Getting the Mist Cleaner 1000

If you already have the Mist Cleaner 1000 then you can skip down to the next step.

If not, head on over to Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64) and purchase the Mist Cleaner 1000 Boat Improvement. Assuming that you already have the upgrades before it, here’s what you’ll need:

8 Silver Ores
22 Silk Fabrics
8 Bottled Ectoplasms
6 Crystal Glass Sheets
3 Spirit Flowers
3,000 Glims

Recruiting Buck

Buck at the top of Hikarishima Lighthouse.

You’ll also need to have Buck on your ship before you can unlock the Lost Shrine. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to get him:

Step 1: Visit the ability shrines in Oxbury (X: 233, Y: 18) and Hummingberg (X: 39, Y: 139), where you’ll be able to get the Double Jump and Bounce abilities, respectively.

Step 2: Next, sail towards the Hikarishima Lighthouse (X: -137, Y: -14) and bounce on top of the umbrella beside the relaxing spirit to reach the landing at the top. You can also double jump in mid-air to reach this easier.

Step 3: After reaching the landing, the game will show Buck resting at the top of the lighthouse before automatically joining you at your ship.

With Buck on your ship, you’ll just need to complete at least two of his quests. These are:

The Silver Company
Demons of Light

Demons of Light will have you unlock the Lightburst ability too.

The lightburst shrine at the end of the “Demons of Light” request.

Getting the Treasure Map

Once you have the Lightburst ability (unlocked from Demons of Light), visit Francis the Wandering Merchant and look for “Saturday Night Shopping List” under his errands list. Completing this errand requires:

2 Diamonds
5 Electrum Sheets
20 Eggs

Note: If Francis doesn’t give you this errand yet, keep going with Buck’s questline up to “The Fires of Tondor” request and then check back on his shop.

After completing the errand, Francis will reward you with a treasure map containing the Lost Shrine hidden island coordinates: X: 220, Y: 167.

Now you can sail towards it from here.

Note: Visiting these coordinates without first getting the treasure map won’t reveal the island.

What to Find Here

This ability shrine unlocks the Improved Tools upgrade.

The Lost Shrine is a small island that only contains a single ability shrine for the improved tools upgrade.

This ability requires two obols to unlock, and it gives Stella these abilities:

Fishing becomes easier
Mining certain nodes will yield certain gemstones

The second ability is great for farming resources. For example, mining coal will now yield 1 Diamond, while mining marble will yield 1 Opal, and so on.
