Onion Rings are a type of pub food you can make in Spiritfarer. Its ingredients include one onion and any type of flour.

What You Need

In order to cook this dish, make sure you have the following items:

The Improved Kitchen
1 Onion
1 Flour (Any Type)

You can easily improve your kitchen by getting the improved kitchen blueprint from Atul’s “Big Stove” request.

Where To Get Onions

Picking onions in the Garden.

You’ll need to grow onions in your garden and harvest them before you can cook with them.

And to get the seeds you’ll first need the Mist Cleaner 1000 boat improvement (in case you don’t have it already).

Once you have that upgrade, sail southeast towards the foggy island of Greymist Peaks. Upon arriving, head left to find the Raccoon Shop where you can purchase onion seeds for 250 Glims each.

Plant these seeds in your Garden and water them regularly until you can harvest the onions.

Alternatively, you can play the “Plantasia Fantastica” minigame to speed up plant growth.

Where To Get Flour

Making flour in the Windmill.

In Spiritfarer, there are three kinds of grains that you can mill into flour, all of which you’ll need to grow yourself. These are your options + details on where to get the seeds:

Rice Seeds (70 Glims, Furogawa Shop)
Wheat Seeds (100 Glims, Oxbury Shop)
Corn Seeds (50 Glims, Hummingberg Shop)

Once you have the seeds, simply plant them in the Field and harvest once fully grown.

From here, you have the choice of taking them to the Crusher or Windmill.

Making flour in the Crusher consists of repeatedly pressing a single button, while the Windmill minigame is more complex. Here’s how that works:

Go inside and place your grains in the mid-level compartment.
Head up top and interact with the square-shaped column and align it with the small wheel.
Once the small wheel starts spinning, adjust the column to keep it aligned.
After all the grains are milled, go to the bottom floor compartment and take your flour.

Cooking Onion Rings

Cooking onion rings using onions and rice flour.

Take your onions and flour to the kitchen oven and combine them. A timer will pop up to indicate the waiting time, and your dish will be ready right after the timer ends.

Just make sure to not leave the onion rings inside the oven once cooked to avoid burnt food.
