Hoseki Quarry Location Guide + All Chests (Spiritfarer)

Hoseki Quarry is a small island that’s part of Spiritfarer’s Furogawa Region. It contains a number of useful resources plus a few chests, and it can be reached without any required ship improvements.

How To Unlock

Once you stumble upon this island while sailing, you can immediately access Hoseki Quarry.

Unlike many other islands on the map, this quarry requires no ship upgrades to reach.

That said, fully exploring its inside requires a few abilities like Dash, Zipline, and Double Jump.

Tips & Required Abilities

Once you’re inside, you’ll find that Hoseki Quarry is dark and tricky to navigate.

You will need these abilities to fully traverse the island:

• Dash
• Zipline
• Double Jump
• Glide

Aside from the abilities mentioned above, here are some other additional tips to keep in mind while you’re inside:

• Arrows indicate that the passage is one-way.
• You can find hidden passages by looking at ropes that go into the wall.
• Gold lines mean there’s a zipline.
• Green lines mean there’s an air draft.
• Blue lines mean that you need to use Dash to clear the gap.

Hoseki Quarry Chests

Here’s a step-by-step guide on where to find all of the quarry’s chests and resources.

Chest #1

Contains:

• Field Upgrade blueprint

Step 1: From the quarry’s entrance, climb up the two ladders until you reach the landing up top.

Step 2: Next, walk left until you reach a fork in the road, with one road going up and one going down.

Take the road going up.

Step 3: Walk for a bit left before jumping up towards another landing that leads to your right.

Step 4: Keep walking to your right until you find a giant air draft.

Step 5: Use the air draft to glide up and reach another landing to your left.

Step 6: Ride the next air draft to reach another landing to your left.

Step 7: Keep going left and ride the last air draft to find the first treasure chest on a small landing to your right.

Chest #2

Contains:

• 2 Amethysts
• 1 Miniature Diorama

Step 1: Drop down to the first fork in the road you passed by from Chest #1, then continue left.

Step 2: Keep walking left until you pass by a ladder – ignore the ladder and keep moving left.

Step 3: Once you encounter a wall that looks like a dead end, just keep walking left to go through it and enter a hidden passage.

Step 4: The next chest is at the very end of this passage.

Chest #3

Contains:

• 1 Old Painting
• 1 Diamond

Step 1: Head back to the ladder you passed by from Chest #2 and climb it.

Step 2: You’ll need to keep climbing a series of ladders as you go up.

But halfway up the third ladder, you’ll find a lantern with a string going into the wall on your right. Jump into that area of the wall to find another hidden passage.

Step 3: The next chest can be found at the end of this hidden passage.

Chest #4

Contains:

• 1,000 Glims

Step 1: Head back to the ladders you were climbing from Chest #3 and then continue climbing up all the way to the top.

Step 2: Once at the top, run to your right until you find books on the ground and encounter a wall.

Step 3: Double jump up and into the section of wall where the lantern wires are going through – you’ll find another hidden passage.

Step 4: At the end of this passage is a hidden chamber with a spirit. Talk to the spirit to get the Glims with this chest.

Chest #5

Contains:

• 2 Cherry Seeds
• 2 Opals

Step 1: Now head all the way back to the very first fork in the road that went up or down – if you’re not sure where this is then scroll up to Chest #1 again and follow those directions to find this fork.

Once you’re here, take the bottom fork and follow that path.

Step 2: Keep walking left until you reach the end.

Step 3: You’ll soon find some ziplines in a zigzag pattern that you’ll need to ride to reach the top.

There will be four ziplines in total – just jump between them and ride them up.

Step 4: You should be able to reach a landing on the left-hand side after the fourth zipline.

From this landing, double-jump and dash to your right.

Step 5: Land on a small clearing that’s to your right (more in an upper-right direction). This is where the treasure chest is.

Chest #6

Contains:

• 3 Diamonds
• 1 Opal
• 1 Crystal Chandelier

Step 1: From the landing with Chest #5, double jump and dash to the upper-left and you should land on a small hidden passage.

If you’re not sure where this landing is then just scroll up and follow the directions from Chest #5 to get here first.

Step 2: Either way, after you enter the hidden passage you can just follow it along. The last treasure chest is inside this passage.

Aside from these chests, there are also a few resources scattered around the quarry. These resources include:

• Mushrooms
• Slate
• Iron ore
• Coal
