Wheat falls under the grains category in Spiritfarer. These grains are first bought as seeds in the Oxbury Raccoon Shop, and can then be grown in the field.
The grains you harvest can be used for 6 grain-related dishes. However, you can also crush wheat in the windmill to make wheat flour, which can be used to cook 21 flour-related dishes.
How To Get Wheat Seeds
For starters, you’ll need the Rock Destroyer Boat Improvement on your ship. If you don’t have this yet then head into Albert’s Shipyard (X: 61, Y: 64).
A full list of the materials required for this upgrade can be found in our guide on all boat improvements.
Once you have the upgrade, head east and go past the rock barrier to find the island of Oxbury, at X: 233, Y: 18. Upon arriving, simply head to the middle of the village to find the Raccoon Shop, where you can buy wheat seeds for 50 glims each.
How To Grow Wheat
After buying your preferred amount of seeds, just plant them in your field. Then, water regularly until they grow into wheat. Alternatively, you can skip the waiting process by playing the “Plantasia Fantastica” music minigame, which will make your plants grow faster.
Each wheat plant you harvest will reward you with 3 wheat grains, which you can either cook or sell at Raccoon Shops for 150 glims each.
How To Make Wheat Flour
Once you have harvested some wheat, take it to the windmill to start the milling process. Here’s how:
Step 1: Go to the mid-level and input some wheat grains.
Step 2: Head to the top floor and interact with the square-shaped column. Then, adjust until it aligns with the little wheel and gets it spinning. Adjust it accordingly to keep the wheel spinning.
Step 3: Head to the bottom floor beside the door to get your wheat flour from the bin. 1 wheat grain is equal to 1 wheat flour.
Keep in mind that wind speed and sailing location affects how fast or slow the windmill will grind your grains. We recommend sailing near stormy waters to make it grind faster.
